Stephen Armstrong joined The Rover Law Firm in the summer of 2003, moving to Palm Desert from Walnut Creek, California. Recognizing his incredible work ethic and passion for the practice of law, The Rover Law Firm acknowledged Stephen by naming him as a shareholder and officer of the firm in 2006 and renaming the firm ROVER ARMSTRONG, A.P.C. Stephen and Mikel Rover worked together until June 2020 when Mike moved in-house as general counsel for the H.N. & Frances C. Berger Foundation.
Stephen is an attorney with substantial experience in litigation and transactional matters. Stephen began his law career in Howard, Rice, Nemerovski, Canady, Falk & Rabkin’s litigation department, where he practiced commercial litigation. Later, he expanded his practice to also represent design professionals including architects, engineers, and other construction-related cases during his tenure at a boutique litigation law firm in Walnut Creek.
He has represented large institutional and family businesses in a variety of matters involving complex commercial and business litigation, contract disputes, fraud, unfair business practices, employment. litigation, tort defense, and shareholder disputes. His experience includes all phases of litigation in both state and federal courts, as well as alternative dispute resolutions, with excellent results on behalf of clients. In addition to his litigation background, Stephen handles corporate and entity formation and counsels clients in matters covering trademarks, licensing, and many other business transactions.
Stephen and his family reside in La Quinta. During his free time he enjoys working out, hiking and spending time with his wife and children.
